Zit enkel voor zich uit te staren en als ik vraag of er iets is, of dat ik iets voor hem kan doen schud hij enkel en alleen maar zijn hoofd. Dat doet hij nu al twee dagen, ik word er helemaal kriegel van. Eerlijk gezegd maak ik me zorgen en ben ook bang dat hij iets in de gaten heeft wat Ruud betreft. Ben gisteren wel nog even bij hem geweest, niet lang, maar we hebben wel leuk zitten kletsen, verder niks. Hij was ook heel lief, zo heel anders als Wim. Ik weet dat hij financieel moeilijk zit, daarom heb ik voorgesteld iets leuks te gaan doen. Iets dat geen geld kost! Toen ik dat voorstelde lachte hij en zei: “Nou, dat is niet zo moeilijk, ik weet wel wat!” Ja, echt mannen om zoiets te zeggen.
Maar goed vanavond moet ik werken, misschien dat ik, als ik op tijd klaar ben nog even naar hem toe kan gaan, ik hoop het!
Oh, ja, gister maakte ik nog iets grappigs mee. Omdat het lekker weer was wilde ik gaan winkelen. Ik wilde gewoon even weg, even iets anders, maar toen ik in het winkelcentrum was realiseerde ik me dat ik dat beter niet kon doen. Want ik ken mezelf, dan zie ik iets dat leuk is en dan koop ik het. Dus ben ik op een terrasje gaan zitten, lekker in het zonnetje.
Nou, ik zat nog niet of er kwam een vrouw aanlopen. Vlak voor mijn tafeltje bleef ze staan.

Ik woon alleen en heb vaak behoefte aan gezelschap. Bij mij in de flat wonen veel mensen die de hele dag weg zijn. Daarom maak ik vaak een wandeling, of ga op een terrasje zitten. Toen ik u zag zitten dacht ik meteen, die mevrouw heeft vast behoefte aan gezelschap.” Ze lachte en schoof wat heen en weer.
Ik was niet blij, zeker niet toen ze verder ging met kletsen. “Sinds mijn man dood is zoek ik gezelschap, mensen om mee te praten.”
