Komen zelden onverwacht, meestal nodig je ze uit om een paar dagen gezellig te komen logeren. Onze logee, luisterend naar de naam Bink, kwam op vrijdagochtend, al vrij vroeg. Hij werd gebracht en zou een week blijven. Goed, gezellig. De gebruiksaanwijzing was gratis, de spullen die hij nodig had vulden onze halve woonkamer, maar we gingen ervoor. Nadat hij alleen bij ons achterbleef ging hij in een hoekje zitten om de hele boel op zijn gemak te bekijken. Drinken hoefde hij niet, ook niet nadat ik het een paar maal had aangeboden. Keurig netjes was hij dat moet ik zeggen. Zei niks, gaf ook geen antwoord op mijn vragen, en leverde nergens commentaar op, totdat ik hem aanbood een wandeling te maken, daar had hij dus wel trek in. Wat minder was dat hij zijn behoefte buiten moest doen en wij dat moesten opruimen. Dus, gewapend met een poepzakje liep ik een flink stuk, zoals afgesproken. Het poepzakje ging ongebruikt mee terug. Pfff, wat een opluchting, uitstel van executie!
Eenmaal weer thuis werd hij een stuk vrolijker, begon zich ook érg thuis te voelen! Alles moest onderzocht worden, de tochtbeesten die ik in de woonkamer voor het raam had liggen vond hij helemaal het einde, hij sleepte ze door de hele kamer en vrat ze van vreugde bijna op! Tot het etenstijd was, hij at niet erg beschaafd, slurpen en smakken van heb ik jou daar, maar goed, dat ging nog. Drinken wilde hij nu wel, en ook dat ging gepaard met veel kabaal. Nadat hij daarmee klaar was, was mijn keuken een groot waterballet, maar het was gezellig.
’S avonds kwam hij bij ons zitten om tv te kijken. Hij bemoeide zich niet met de programma’s die wij uitzochten en gaf geen commentaar, dus dat was goed te doen. Vlak voordat we naar bed gingen moesten we nog een rondje om de kerk, daarna was het bedtijd. Alles ging prima, hij luisterde goed, was lief en ging braaf slapen.
De volgende dagen maakten we afspraken, mijn man liet hem ’s ochtends uit, en ik ’s middags en ’s avonds, precies zoals hij gewend was. Hij blij, wij blij, alleen niet met het vullen van die poepzakjes, dat was minder. Al na een paar dagen kregen we er de schijt van, maar we hielden vol.
Omdat mijn man werken moet en ik mijn dagen thuis slijt, was ik dus veel met hem alleen. Om hem gezelschap te houden ging ik met mijn laptop in de kamer bij hem zitten. Hij keek toe terwijl ik zat te schrijven en omdat honden niet kunnen praten dacht ik, ik lees hem een stukje voor, kijken hoe zijn reactie is, wat hij ervan vindt. Misschien gaat hij blij kwispelen als hij het een goed verhaal vindt. maar dat sloeg niet aan. Al na een halve A4 begon hij verveeld te geeuwen en ging met zijn rug naar me toe liggen, dus moest ik iets anders bedenken. Spelen in de tuin, vogeltjes bekijken, alles was leuk, behalve voorlezen.
Dus dat heb ik niet meer gedaan, ja, oké, maar een keer en dat was toen hij niet wilde gaan slapen. Ik zei: ‘Je kunt kiezen, of ik lees voor, of je gaat nu slapen,’ Binnen twee tellen lag hij te ronken. Dat was heel duidelijk, hij luisterde goed, en niet alleen dat, hij kon niet praten, en soms is dat heel prettig, soms!
Al met al was het best gezellig, hij was lief en vrolijk en blij toen hij weer naar huis mocht. Wat hij er zelf van vond weet ik niet, ik heb geen idee, waarschijnlijk denkt hij nu zoiets van: BREEK ME DE BEK NIET OPEN! Stoere bink hoor, die Bink!
