Toen ik afgelopen vrijdag thuis kwam was ik blij dat Wim al in bed lag. Ik dacht, mooi hoef ik niets uit te leggen, zeker omdat het al vrij laat was. Maar, net toen ik in bed wilde stappen werd hij wakker. ‘Wat ben je laat,’ bromde hij van onder  het dekbed.

Shit dacht ik, hier moet ik me snel uitlullen. Ik zei dat er op het laatste moment nog iemand de pot had onder gescheten. Dat was het eerste dat me inviel. Gelukkig trapte hij erin. De volgende dag was hij het weer vergeten. Tenminste hij vroeg nergens meer naar. Ik denk dat het komt omdat hij het druk heeft met zichzelf en zijn werk. Hij blijft ook klagen, daar krijgt die man een tien voor. Jeetje wat een klaagvot is de man. Maar goed, ik doe net alsof ik gek ben en knik maar wat.

Maar even iets anders. Mijn nieuwe baas, hij heet trouwens Ruud, heb ik niet meer gesproken. Vanochtend ben ik nog bij hem wezen poetsen, maar heb hem niet gezien, ook niks meer gehoord. Aam de ene kant hoop ik dat hij me belt voor een afspraak, maar van de andere kant ook weer niet. En dat komt omdat ik hem leuk vind. Ik moet ook heel veel aan hem denken, ook aan Wim. Ik weet dat het niet goed is, maar hij heeft me wel zwaar besodemieterd en dat zit me nog steeds dwars.

Op mijn werk heb ik weer eens iets leuks mee gemaakt. Het was zaterdag en nog vrij vroeg toen er ineens een man binnen kwam lopen. Hij keek me aan, lachte vriendelijk en zei: ‘Mag ik u iets vragen?’

‘Ik knikte en zei: ‘Ja, natuurlijk.’ Toen liep hij naar me toe en zei: ‘Heeft u toevallig  maandverband bij u?’

Ik was verbaasd: ‘Nee,’ zei ik, ‘dat heb ik niet hier.’

‘Jammer,’ zei hij, heeft u het echt niet? Ik heb het dringend nodig.’

Ik keek hem aan en vroeg me af wat die vent nu met maandverband moest. Maar liet niks merken. ‘Sorry,’ zei ik, ‘ik kan u echt niet helpen.’

‘Nu heb ik dus een probleem, een groot probleem.’ Hij deed een stap achteruit en keek om zich heen. ‘Ligt er toevallig geen maandverband op de wc?’

‘Nee, ’  zei ik, ‘echt niet, het enige dat ik heb is toiletpapier, misschien dat u daar iets mee kunt.’ Ik zat me nog steeds af te vragen wat hij daarmee wilde doen.

‘Toiletpapier,’ herhaalde hij en dacht na. ‘Ik loop even terug naar de zaak, ben zo terug.’ Hij lachte weer en liep naar buiten.

Ik dacht, nou zal me benieuwen of hij terugkomt en waar hij dat voor nodig heeft.

Vijf minuten later kwam hij inderdaad terug. ‘Ik heb nogeens nagedacht en geef me toch maar wat toiletpapier.’

Ik wees naar de deur van de wc en zei: ‘Dat kunt u zelf pakken.’

Hij liep naar de wc en sloot de deur af, het duurde even en toen hij terugkwam keek hij opgelucht.

‘Normaal gesproken gebruik ik dat nooit, maar in dit geval heb ik weinig keus. Het zit ook niet erg prettig, maar het moet maar. Bedankt en tot ziens.’

Ik zit me nu nog steeds af te vragen wat er met hem aan de hand was.  Het enige dat ik me kan bedenken dat hij bang was om in zijn broek te schijten. Of dat hij veel natte lucht had. Anders zou ik het niet weten. Maar dan nog. Maandverband!?

  1. Wat denk je van een vol gescheten broek? Eerst natuurlijk broek schoonmaken en daarna een maandverband om, maar helaas dat was er niet dus dan maar toiletpapier. ( sppreek uit ervaring ) hahaha. Maar ff op Wim terug te komen, lekker laten mopperen. Per slot van rekening zijn eigen schuld dat hij moet werken.
