Als je vroeger een nieuwe relatie wilde beginnen was dat niet makkelijk, want waar haalde je een nieuwe leuke betrouwbare partner vandaan?
Veel opties had je niet, in feite maar een paar, een was de krant, daar kon je een huwelijksadvertentie in plaatsen, of kijken of er een instond die je wel aanstond. Veel was het niet, het gros was altijd hetzelfde: Langs deze onsympathieke weg zoek ik…Of: Jonge man 52 jaar zoekt lieve eerlijke vrouw…Nou ja, alleen al bij het lezen van zo’n advertentie zakte je de moed in de schoenen, dus dat deed je niet.
Een andere optie was op stap gaan, niet naar een disco, want daar was je te oud voor, dus ging je naar een speciale gelegenheid waar andere alleenstaanden van jouw leeftijd ook kwamen. In Heerlen lag een dancing die daarvoor bekend stond, op donderdagavond was daar HET BAL VOOR EINZAME HERZEN, in de volksmond het spataderenbal genoemd. Daar trof je héél veel mensen die wanhopig op zoek waren naar een nieuwe vlam. Het gros van de mannen dat daar kwam was getrouwd, die zochten ook een “nieuwe vlam,” maar voor een paar uur. Na het avontuur gingen ze naar huis en kropen naast moeder de vrouw in bed. Dus als je meer wilde dan dat, bleef je daar weg. In Treebeek lag ook zo’n zaak, een stuk betrouwbaarder was die ook, want voordat je naar binnen mocht moest je een bewijsje laten zien waarop stond dat je alleenstaand was. Dat bewijsje kon je GRATIS bij de gemeente ophalen. Echt waar! Dus, als je daarheen ging wist je zeker dat je goed zat, ook veilig.
Het nadeel was dat er veel overgebleven “restjes” kwamen, foute restjes die niemand wilde hebben, zelfs niet GRATIS!
Dus bleven veel alleen. Nu is dat allemaal een stuk makkelijker dankzij internet. Je logt in op een datingsite en gaat aan de gang. Toch doet niet iedereen dat, er zijn mensen die hun voorkeur geven aan publiekelijke belangstelling. Die gaan met de billen bloot, op de een of andere manier willen ze dat, waarom is mij een raadsel. Wie wil er nu op tv door een man afgewezen worden? Vrouwen en ook mannen die op zoek zijn naar een boer, of een boerin doen dat.
Ook ik heb er naar gekeken, samen met mijn man onder het genot van een glaasje wijn.
Boer zoekt vrouw! Hele bosjes geven zich op en zijn blij als ze door mogen, want dat is niet eenvoudig. Dan gaan ze met een stuk of wat vrouwen op proef bij zo’n boer wonen. De een slooft zich nog harder uit dan de ander om die boer aan de haak te slaan. Ze werken mee op de boerderij, koken voor hem, maken zijn huis schoon en wachten geduldig tot ze naar huis gestuurd worden. Afgewezen, niet geschikt bevonden! De boer zit er niet mee, die heeft nog een paar op de reservebank zitten. Totdat er nog maar twee overblijven, de dames gooien hun charmes in de strijd en hopen en bidden dat ze de hoofdprijs winnen. En dat allemaal onder het toeziende oog van Yvonne Jaspers én de kijker. Die boer lacht zich helemaal dood zou je denken, nou nee. Voor hem is het een zaak van leven en dood, want als hij de verkeerde kiest loopt hij het risico dat hij alleen achterblijft óf dat zij hem het leven tot een hel gaat maken. Het kan ook dat hij een uitkiest die hem bij nader inzien niet meer wil. Ze heeft zich bedacht, neemt de kuierlatten en hij blijft alleen achter, terug naar af. Soms klikt het, ze krijgen vlinder in hun buik en janken van vreugde en geluk. Een jankende boer op tv is goed voor de kijkcijfers, heel Nederland smult. Heerlijk entertainment!
Ik woon op een boerderij, maar zoek geen boer want ik heb een hele lieve man. Hoefde ook geen moeite te doen om hem te vinden omdat hij een deur verder woonde en ik op zijn hond mocht passen als hij werken was. De hond is al jaren geleden overleden, maar we zijn nog steeds bij elkaar en janken doen we enkel bij bepaalde tv programma’s, niet van verdriet, maar uit medeleven!
